With freezing temperatures and fresh powder come opportunities to skate, sled and tube in a magical winter wonderland in Hamilton County, Indiana. Here is a list of indoor and outdoor ice skating rinks and sledding and tubing hills in Carmel, Fishers, Noblesville, Westfield and beyond.

Skate around the Ice at Carter Green, located in the center of the Carmel Christkindlmarkt. The ice rink will be open through the beginning of February. Purchase advance tickets online.

Noblesville Ice Plaza at the Commons
Don't miss the outdoor ice rink during Holidays at the Hill at Federal Hill Commons in downtown Noblesville. A 5- or 10-skate pass is available for purchase.

Ice Ribbon at Grand Junction Plaza
Open for its second season is the Ice Ribbon at Grand Junction Plaza, a 8,300 square-foot ice ribbon rink offering skate-by-reservation-only in the heart of downtown Westfield. It features Glice Eco-Rinks, which is a sustainable skating technology that requires no water or energy and does not produce carbon emissions.

Nov. 23 – Jan. 4: Thursdays 4 – 5:30 p.m. and 6 – 7:30 p.m. / Fridays 4 – 5:30 p.m., 6 – 7:30 p.m. and 8 – 9:30 p.m. / Saturdays 12 – 1:30 p.m., 2 – 3:30 p.m., 4 – 5:30 p.m., 6 – 7:30 p.m. and 8 – 9:30 p.m.
Additional hours will be announced for Winter Break and some skate sessions vary due to special events.
Indoor Ice Skating
If you don’t want to ice skate outdoors, glide on over to the Carmel Ice Skadium, The Arctic Zone in Westfield or Fuel Tank at Fishers, three classic rinks with public skating available. Individuals of all ages and experience levels can hit the ice. For a twist, check out cosmic skating nights with special lighting and music. If you're not yet comfortable on skates the Ice Barn, a mini rink in Westfield, offers Learn to Skate lessons and Learn to Play for hockey.
Sledding

Strawtown Koteewi Park’s winter attraction, Koteewi Run Seasonal Slopes, is expected to open Dec. 21 (weather permitting). This is central Indiana’s only groomed snow tubing hill. Travel the length of more than two football fields down the hill and ride the tow line back to the top. Ticket options include a two-hour weekend/holiday session, weekday full session or a season pass.

Sledding Hills

Grab your sled and head to Flat Fork Creek Park to enjoy the 60-foot, ADA-accessible sledding hill. Other local favorites include the two-story sledding hill at West Park in Carmel, and Forest Park in Noblesville.
