- Familiarize yourself with the local fishing and boating regulations.
- Carry the necessary licenses and stamps when using public waters.
- A fishing license is required for individuals 18-and-older except on Indiana DNR Free Fishing Days
- Stay safe by using a personal flotation device when required or appropriate.
- Protect local wildlife from injury by disposing of used lines in a designated recycling station or trash can.
- Take all leftover live bait or bait cups, food, and trash home unless the proper receptacles are available nearby.
- Follow the catch-and-release rules for each individual park.
