HATCH & Strawberry Fest

A classic Noblesville summer is always in full bloom with community festivals—from the vibrant Peony Festival to this joint celebration of creativity, culture, and community! On June 14 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., the Historic Noblesville Square will transform into a free, walkable marketplace, thanks to the HATCH and Strawberry Festival. Tune into live performances, support local businesses, and treat yourself to some delicious strawberry shortcake!

What is HATCH?

Back to Top of List

The Hamilton County Arts, Technology, Craft, and Heritage (HATCH) hosts an annual festival to celebrate all local makers and creators that brightens Hamilton County into a vivid community. Stroll through the square to shop and discover handcrafted goods such as wood items, handmade books and pottery, bath and body items, craft art, jewelry, home décor, and more.

Even the alleys will showcase their own unique experiences: crafts, technology, and heritage. Visit the craft alley in the north to learn about the world of music and make a small musical instrument with Musicologie or engage in a robotics demonstration and technology craft by Ignite Art Studio in the technology alley in the east. The heritage alley in the south near the courthouse steps will honor Juneteenth with musical performances and readings of the Emancipation Proclamation. You can also find a Dream Tent where Gal’s Guide Library presents an interactive exhibit that highlights 100 extraordinary women from 1815 to today.

Things to Do

Back to Top of List

Before the festivals starts, walk 10 minutes across the bridge to Federal Hill Commons for the Noblesville Main Street Farmers Market, open from 8 a.m. to noon. Browse fresh produce, local boutiques, handcrafted items, and food vendors. Or join a wellness session at the market from 8-9 a.m. presented by Midwest Sport and Spine where they’re leading yoga, kickboxing, ballroom dancing, and more.

Keep the movement moving and explore Noblesville’s scenic routes like the trails of Potter’s Bridge Park or Forest Park. While you’re already at Forest Park, excurse on Nickel Plate Express’ pedal-powered railbike adventures.

Need a break from all the action and sunshine? Cool off at Moonshot Games in challenging board games and puzzles or create your own masterpiece at Hawaiian Fluid Art or uPaint.

Places to Eat/Drink

Back to Top of List

Nothing compliments shopping local than sipping on a coffee from Noble Coffee & Tea Company, located just steps away from the square. Save room for the strawberry shortcake and snack on Portuguese small plates at Bica Café, where they put a modern European twist to their dishes. End your evening with a classic American dinner like the whiskey chicken at Grindstone Public House or the traditional Hoosier breaded tenderloin sandwich at Syd’s. Indulge in even more strawberry confections at Alexander on the Square with their strawberry ice cream or a strawberry old-fashioned soda.

Both festivals are conveniently located in DORA vendor areas, Noblesville’s Designated Outdoor Refreshment Area. This allows guests 21 years and older to buy and have open drinks while relaxing or exploring outdoors as long as they are within the DORA boundaries and purchased from a participating restaurant. Look out for designated DORA signs and clear cups printed with the DORA logo to drink safely. Learn more about DORA here.
