Patrice Smith is a nonprofit founder, communications strategist, and creative leader with a deep commitment to building organizations rooted in purpose and service. As the Founder and CEO of The Cydney Center, a nonprofit supporting children with special needs and their families, she brings both lived experience and organizational leadership to her work.
She serves as a Communications Advisor and Founding Board Member for the Westfield Family Network (WFN), helping shape messaging, storytelling, and communications strategy that clearly communicates WFN’s mission and expands its reach to families, partners, and supporters.
Patrice’s personal journey as the mother of Cydney, who has special needs, informs her perspective and fuels her commitment to advocacy and community support. She understands the realities families face and the importance of accessible, connected care and support systems.
In addition to her nonprofit leadership, Patrice serves as Creative Director at Eastern Star Church, overseeing Communications, Production, and Worship. She brings a strategic and creative approach to every environment she leads, grounded in faith, clarity, and compassion.
Her work is shaped by a commitment to serve from a place of passion, drawing from both professional expertise and her lived experience as a mother navigating her daughter’s journey with Leigh Syndrome.
Patrice is happily married, a mother of three, and a grateful resident of Westfield, Indiana.
