This integrated trail system connects Carmel, Fishers, Noblesville and Westfield through major paved paths—Monon Trail, Midland Trace Trail and Nickel Plate Trail—plus a network of easy-to-navigate connector routes. Whether you're biking, walking, or exploring with family, The HamCo Hubway offers a packaged experience that blends wellness, leisure and local discovery.
Get moving where every trail leads to something worth experiencing. And with fall’s vibrant colors and cooler temps, there’s no better time to hit the trails.
Trail Closures: The 106 trail, Bur Oak Bridge, White River Greenway in Noblesville and Potter's Bridge are closed due to the recent floods. Visitors are encouraged to explore our other trails - especially the Monon Trail, Midland Trace Trail and Nickel Plate Trail.

The Monon Trail
Nowhere does the Monon shine brighter than through Hamilton County, where the trail links the thriving communities of Carmel, Westfield, and Sheridan. In downtown Carmel, the trail glides through the bustling Arts & Design District and Midtown, where you can pause for a coffee, a craft meal, or a stroll past public art before rolling on. Continue north and the scenery opens into the green expanses of Westfield's Grand Park and the charming small-town character of Sheridan. With beautifully maintained pavement, thoughtful landscaping, and easy access to local businesses at nearly every turn, the Monon Trail through Hamilton County is the perfect place to get outside, stay active, and experience the very best of Indiana living.

Midland Trace Trail

The Midland Trace Trail is a scenic east-west greenway that connects two of Hamilton County's most vibrant communities, Westfield and Noblesville. On the Westfield end, the trail links beloved local destinations like Quaker Park, with its shaded paths and creek views, and the lively Grand Junction Plaza. The trail goes right through downtown Westfield, where you can catch a community event or grab a bite at nearby Field Brewing or RIVET Coffee Bar. Heading east toward Noblesville, the trail ends at the Hazel Dell Trailhead, where you can find restrooms, parking, and a bike repair station. The Midland also connects to the White River Greenway and the Nickel Plate Trail hub, opening the door to Noblesville's own treasures, like Forest Park and its historic downtown square.

Nickel Plate Trail
This trail runs north and south connecting Fishers and Noblesville. It features a nice tree canopy and views of the White River north of 146th Street. The trail south of 146th Street is more and features full sun connecting to restraurants and shopping in downtown Fishers in the Nickel Plate District.
It is important to note there is a difficult crossing at 146th Street. This crossing is not recommended with children. Use extreme caution if crossing 146th Street (four lane road) at the light.
