When hundreds of Lycra-clad cyclists click into their pedals and roll out of Carmel’s Coxhall Gardens for the Rollfast Gran Fondo early on Sept. 15, they’ll know they’re participating in the world’s fastest “gran fondo” bike ride. And they no doubt will be aware that the event has been selected as the Gran Fondo World Tour’s 2019 world championship race.

What they might not know is the story of the couple behind the race, a story that blends an unlikely connection, a shared passion for fitness, a startling tragedy and a desire to make a difference for people facing overwhelming darkness.

It’s the perfect time to discover a new restaurant or visit an old favorite, because Devour Indy Summerfest presented by Faegre Baker Daniels returns Aug. 19 - Sept. 1, 2019. Dozens of restaurants are participating in Indy’s city-wide dining event, offering three-course, value-priced menus. No coupon or ticket is needed – simply visit the restaurant of your choice and ask for the Devour menu.

Devour Indy’s lineup includes a number of northside options, including these restaurants in Carmel, Fishers, Noblesville, Westfield and beyond. See the full list below, make a reservation and start planning how you’ll devour all they have to offer.

Here in Hamilton County, we have more than 500 miles of trails to explore by foot or bike. But we’re also home to a rather tasty trail unlike any other: the Original Tenderloin Trail™, a meandering path that celebrates the uniquely Hoosier sandwich.

We take our tenderloins seriously here – in fact, we made our own semi-holiday called Tenderloin Tuesdays™, now in its 10th year, where foodies can feast on tenderloins and take advantage of great deals at more than 20 participating local restaurants on Tuesdays in July 2019.

Before we send you off on your dining adventure, read through our Tenderloin 101 crash course so you’re in the know on what’s between the bread.

Since May 2018, Hamilton County Tourism, Visit Indy and the City of Indianapolis have worked to research and develop the anticipated White River Vision Plan. Community members and residents also played a large role in this process, participating in surveys and attending meetings to offer feedback.

With nearly twelve months of planning, the plan is finally ready to be unveiled, which is clearly a reason to celebrate. The White River Vision Plan will be announced June 3 and followed by a week-long celebration for all to enjoy.

In addition to events in Indianapolis, Carmel, Fishers and Noblesville will host a number of exciting events. Here’s a quick breakdown of how you can get involved in the celebration.
